I’m Skyler

I grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I spent most of my life there before moving to Chester County in 2017, finally settling in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 2018.

Those I love

I live with my lovely wife Katlyn and our adorable dog, Sully. You will see both of them featured heavily in my portfolio. They're the most important people in my life and I love what we've built together.

Photography

I began photographing my adventures in 2010 after being handed down an old iPod Touch. In 2012 I bought my first "real" camera, a Sony NEX-5, and I've stuck with Sony ever since. I don't believe in gatekeeping so I've listed my gear below but I firmly believe gear does not matter, only the photographer does.

What I love

Photography aside, I love watching movies. Some of my favorites are: Blade Runner, Interstellar, Jurassic Park, TRON, Midsommar, Ex Machina, Finding Nemo, and so many more. I'm also a huge music fan. Like movies, I love all styles and genres. I'm an avid hockey fan and F1 fan. On weekends I'm not photographing, you can find me at local thrift stores.
